An algebraic solution of driven single band tight binding dynamics

چکیده

The dynamics of the driven single band tight binding model for Wannier-Stark systems is formulated and solved using a dynamical algebra. This Lie algebraic approach is very convenient for evaluating matrix elements and expectation values. A classicalization of the tight binding model is discussed as well as some illustrating examples of Bloch oscillations and dynamical localization effects. It is also shown that a dynamical invariant can be constructed. PACS: 03.65.-w; 03.65.Fd;

The quantum dynamics of a driven single-band tight-binding model is considered. The relation between this Hamiltonian and Hamiltonian of the discrete-charge mesoscopic quantum circuits is investigated. It is shown that the former Hamiltonian, with closed boundary conditions, can be considered as a realization of the generalized para-fermionic polynomial algebras.
